Good Weather!

That snow that was pictured recently melted quickly. It snowed Friday and again melted. But last night it started snowing and has stayed. It's about -5 deg. Celcius (so 20 something deg. F) and has been that temperature all day. There have been clear skies too. The stars were great last night, though no Northern Lights. (Oh how our expectations rise!) The sun has been shining brightly in our South facing windows. We woke up late because we were out very late last night (6:30 pm your time). John got to talking about forestry, which he says "No one ever talks about." as in the students in his program. We were at Brian's house for a dinner of dahl and rice, plus lots of finger foods. His house is about an hour walk from ours and we were the last ones to leave.

Well.. we are off to a free classical music concert in town at the Lutheran Church. Then we'll watch the fireworks downtown when Santa arrives. Funny that they start the Christmas spirit now, but I guess they don't have a holiday to make a natural mark as the beginning of the holiday season. Who knows how they picked Nov. 20th. Maybe it's the first Sunday before the first Sunday of Advent, or something.

Okay. Gotta get dressed and start walking!
